Loft Morgagni: From Workspace to Urban Design Model

We live in an era where urban regeneration and sustainable design are at the forefront of attention.

In this context, the Loft Morgagni project represents a perfect example of how architecture can transform and revitalize urban spaces.

Hidden in a typical Milanese courtyard, on the ground floor of an elegant early 1900s building, this apartment embodies our design philosophy: creating spaces that improve quality of life while respecting both historical context and modern needs.

Today, the former workspace has become a modern and functional loft, perfect for short-term rentals and B&B; it offers Milan’s visitors a unique stay experience, combining the charm of Milanese history with modern comfort.

Archimama’s Intervention

Our intervention involved a thorough renovation, completely renewing the space while maintaining the key elements that tell the building’s story.

Our team paid particular attention to interior design. The result is an environment that harmoniously blends modernity and vintage, respecting all client needs.

Space Optimization

With only 40 square meters available, every square centimeter must be maximized.

Our solution? An open space designed to include a multifunctional living area, a bathroom, and, on the upper floor, a bedroom connected by the original staggered-step staircase.

The heart of this project lies in its unique design, which creates a link between the building’s old commercial nature and modern needs. We preserved original elements, such as the evocative staircase, harmoniously integrating them into the new context.

The result is an environment enriched with nostalgic touches like an old telephone and a vintage typewriter, which add character and warmth to the space.

The Future of Urban Housing

Loft Morgagni is a tangible example of how architecture can breathe new life into forgotten spaces, respecting the past while looking to the future.

In a world where urban space is increasingly precious, projects like this show the way to a sustainable and design-driven housing future.
